BEWARE: SCAM I was told “just drop off the taxes and we will book an appointment”. No appointment was booked. No questions were asked. We specifically asked them about different ways of filing, they ignored us. We ultimately went somewhere else for less money and got a bigger tax refund with the other place. $400 for me to drop off paperwork that I had to fight to get back so that I could take it somewhere else.
They dropped the ball twice already. One month since we signed our tax paperwork, that was to be electronically filed and our taxes still are not filed. We've used them for the past 6 years and feel like their services have evolved into being no better than H&R Block. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
I agree with the comments of doing the bare minimum. TurboTax asks more questions than they did. During the height of tax season, they still only open for 3 hours a day. The first woman I dealt with gave me papers to sign but couldn’t answer any of my questions about what I was signing, I was told “just sign it”. I was told they would make an appointment to go over everything… that did not happen and NO QUESTIONS were asked. CTS Tax Pros were very detailed oriented and didn't miss a thing. They even went back into last year taxes to be very thorough. You do have to do your taxes off it's not a sane day service but they will call you when it's ready. The price was reasonable. I've paid a whole lot more at H&R block so I'm happy with it.
