The previous response from CSS Home Services is completely misleading. There was no third-party involved, no refund has been issued, and the work has been extremely sloppy, incomplete, and damaging to our historic home. The claim that the project was simply “unfinished” does not excuse the poor workmanship—we have paint peeling by touch, water-thinned paint sprayed on surfaces, and where it never should have been used, and damage to our library and vintage trim. Hiring CSS Home Services for interior painting has been a nightmare. The quality of work is extremely poor, and we are very disappointed with the outcome. They watered down the paint and used the wrong type of paint in our library. The paint comes off just by touching it, and instead of using the proper latex, they sprayed water-based paint, leaving the finish weak and unsuitable.
