I understand that the center is closing down by August 15. I have accepted that. What I do not accept is the fact that the center has been locking the doors before 7:00 PM, which is their closing time. I drove 25 minutes to make a donation and arrive there at A little after 6 PM and the doors were locked. There were other people outside, trying to gain access as well. Everyone was denied entry. I arrived at 11:30 am there was no one at the front desk,but there was a long line. And since I never have done this before, I got in line. I saw alot of employees standing around not doing much of anything. Plus after screening someone in the would wait at least 10 minutes before calling another. After being in line for an hour I finally get to talk to somebody, only to find out that I had to sign in and when I went to do that was told that they weren't taking anymore new donors. I was a new donor at CSL plasma recently and have gone back a few more times since. From the second I stepped into the facility, I had a great experience and the staff was very communicative. During my first donation I got very light headed twice and the staff was very attentive and kept checking in. They also gave me tips on how to make my next donation better. They ended my donation early due to this occurring twice (which was very caring) and they called the next day to check on me. Yes getting set up for your first visit... read more
