Wonderful experience on the Crystal River. This company was organized and well-managed with safe equipment and knowledgeable staff. It was very easy to book a same-day trip and we almost had the whole river to ourselves. The location is perfect with stunning views and crystal clear water the whole way. We had no problem navigating the waterway with our dog and a 10 year old (he did get tired after a while). The next time we return, we'll definitely plan another trip on the Crystal River with Crystal River Outfitters!!!
2-3 hours kayaking on Crystal River. Very easy for experienced rowers, a little less so for those of us with less experience, though very manageable. The company would drive you on their van (which smelled horrible - put some air freshener guys) up the river and you will kayak back down stream all the way to the front desk. The river is beautiful and very clean. Very shallow in July, but there are still many places to stop and dip in the river.
Went kayaking after the 4th of July weekend and the water was beautiful! We got there early but that was perfect because they were able to get us on the water faster. You park at the end and we got parking right in front of the store the driver drove us to the beginning of the river and was very nice. The equipment was in good shape considering how at one point you have to drag the kayak out of the water over a dam.
