I went today to crystal plaza for an 11 am tour. First, the leasing agent didn’t show till 11:10. Whatever, not a big deal. But then he said that they couldn’t show us any units because they were all occupied. My wife said she wished the website would have told us this information when we booked the in-person tour. The leasing agent decided to argue and pull up the website to show that it said all “in-person” tours would actually be looking at a computer in the leasing office (the website did not say that). Have lived here for only 3 months and have had 4 different instances where my apartment is 80° plus because of AC issues!! Terrible situation since I have young kids and no one is sleeping. Truly unbearable and so frustrating as we have no control of the situation and they can never give us time frames on when it’s going to be fixed. The longest time was 4 days of no ac during a heat wave. Not livable
I was initially very interested in Crystal Plaza Apartments due to their excellent location and spacious floor plans. The proximity to key areas is certainly a strong point, and on paper, the community seemed like a promising option. I've lived in some bad apartments, it kind of just comes with the territory looking for affordable apartments in the DC/Arlington area, but this place is really something. The AC/heating system is terrible (building was built in the 60s/70s) and, while my roommate and I personally didn't deal with the vermin in our unit, we've heard stories and seen many rats in the garage, but the bad pipes/water quality issues were really take the cake.
