I work Hospice. I have one patient there and it’s amazing! They are always well staffed and willing to help. When my dad was going to be placed I really wanted him there. This is the gold star of nursing homes in Jefferson County. The Administrator Cassie is amazing and friendly. 10/10
After reading some of the bad reviews on Crystal Oaks, I have to wonder if they are talking about the same place? Our Aunt has been admitted for rehabilitation following hip surgery. All of the staff seem to be very caring and attentive to the patient’s needs. I would especially like to recognize Kelly who goes above and beyond. She had noticed that our Aunt was not eating much so she asked her what was her favorite. The reply was Pizza! Kelly went out the next day and brought her back a pizza. I would give Crystal Oaks Assisted Living 100 stars if I could. My aunt was on the memory floor and was there for almost 1 year. She had the best nurses. Shannon, Sue, and Bre were her favorites ( and mine). They gave her superior care. My aunt ended up on hospice and her nurses worked right with them making sure she getting the best care. Unfortunately my aunt passed away last week and those three nurses were right by my side when she took her last breath. The assisted living area has been very accommodating to any request or family makes. They let us bring in an entire Thanksgiving dinner so we could all eat as a family and not have our loved one left out. They do seem to be short staffed in the maintenance staff. But the nursing staff all know my family member and trailer excellent care of her. Her “apartment” is spacious and perfect for her needs.
My father lived at Crystal Oaks for 3 years. Dementia, asthma, depression. But the care he received was excellent. I couldn’t have found more loving and caring people for him. He passed knowing he was loved.
