Had family going in for surgery at 5 AM today. When I arrived at Crystal Oaks I was met by an attentive Nurse who told me the shower was completed, his medication had been given and all his paperwork was printed. I was then escorted to my family members room and then sent on our way. This is what I call excellent customer service! Mercy hospital was also impressed stating they do not usually have complete paperwork available for these types of admissions. I tried to work here last year. After signing all the orientation paperwork, and going to a meeting. We came to entering my info in the retina time clock. After the 4-5 time trying to get my eyes read. I asked the HR lady, what will happen if my eyes won’t work with the time clock? She told me I WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK THERE. I tried to explain I have had SEVARE APRAXIA IN MY EYES SINCE I WAS 1-1/2. She told me again, that I COULD NOT WORK THERE IF MY EYES CANT DO THE RETINA READINGS. I never came back.

I can not say enough good things about the caring and compassionate staff at Crystal Oaks Care Center. It is a beautiful facility, but the best thing about it is the people. It is a family and truly feels like a home. My dad is getting great food, great care, and feels cared about. Thank you to everyone from administrative staff to nursing staff to housekeeping staff to maintenance staff.
