The assisted living area has been very accommodating to any request or family makes. They let us bring in an entire Thanksgiving dinner so we could all eat as a family and not have our loved one left out. They do seem to be short staffed in the maintenance staff. But the nursing staff all know my family member and trailer excellent care of her. Her “apartment” is spacious and perfect for her needs.
My father lived at Crystal Oaks for 3 years. Dementia, asthma, depression. But the care he received was excellent. I couldn’t have found more loving and caring people for him. He passed knowing he was loved.
I just love when you take your fiance to the E.R with serious injuries. You wait in a room for 2 hrs without being seen and the whole time you can hear the staff laughing and carrying on. Having a good ol time instead of.......idk doing their job..... the bad thing is its not just this hospital welcome to the modern Healthcare machine enjoy all my hard earned money Mercy :)
I was supposed to be transferred here for continued physical therapy following a brief hospital stay. Upon entering the building, the pungent odor of bodily fluids hits you. Then the person doing my intake was speaking slow and slurred. I wasn't completely sure if they were sober. This uncomfortable feeling with the environment only got worse. Had family going in for surgery at 5 AM today. When I arrived at Crystal Oaks I was met by an attentive Nurse who told me the shower was completed, his medication had been given and all his paperwork was printed. I was then escorted to my family members room and then sent on our way. This is what I call excellent customer service! Mercy hospital was also impressed stating they do not usually have complete paperwork available for these types of admissions.
