My first birth, I was at TCH with a different provider. I did a lot of prep work to have a successful vaginal birth. When I went into labor, I ended up with an emergency csection. After that, I truly believed my body wasn't capable of delivering children vaginally. I switched to UTMB for baby #2 (closer to home) and picked Dr. Alvarez (based on her experience). She was the best C-section surgeon that did me very well with a pretty scar. I recommend her 100%.
She took care of me when i was pregnant with my 1st baby..She listens to her patients
Dr. Alvarez is one of the best around. She is caring and compassionate with patients and truly has their best interests at heart. I personally did not have her as my OB, however I met her during my many trips to L&D and will be using her for my next pregnancy when the time comes. She is very informative, and has the patients best interest at heart. Had her for my last pregnancy and she was amazing. Clear & concise. I never felt dismissed, even with the nurse practitioner that I would see in place of her. If I had worries, they would always check everything to clear my mind. I will definitely be going to her for any other pregnancies!
