I just can’t get over this. I HATE writing bad reviews - check my history. I either write a good review with constructive criticism, or move on and give that place the benefit of the doubt. I just can’t hear. First off, the location moved around the corner. The photos aren’t accurate. Second, and worst, is getting lied to. I ordered the torta carnita ahogada and took a bite. This place lives up to all of its positive reviews! The food was excellent! I tried 6 of their tacos (steak, birria, shrimp, suadero, and lengua) and I was happily satisfied. I did not get to try any of their cocktails but I see they have a full bar. Also, I was looking at their offers and they have a great happy hour deal and taco Tuesday offer. The food simply wasn’t good. It was both bland and non appetizing. The service was mediocre at best. Nobody was rude or nice, I guess I’d call the service bland too. To make up for the food, they would have needed stellar service in order for me to give them two stars. It’s a clear one star, because I just wouldn’t want anyone to spend their money there, especially not in New York where there are plenty great Mexican restaurants with delicious food great service. This was certainly not that.
