Juan was amazing and helped me get a great workout in
Extremely disappointing experience with Crunch Fitness in Wilmington, NC. Staff saw me enter with a store-bought, pasteurized kombucha and did not tell me at the time that it was prohibited. Instead, after I had already started my workout, management came to get me and told me the situation would be reported to police because the beverage contains trace amounts of alcohol, which with a quick search on Health-Ade’s website (the brand we got from a coffee shop), they would have seen exactly what it was. FRAUD! BEWARE! I was told i had 30 day free trial, only to be charged on the 8th day, then another $60 annual membership fee, then $15 late fee because the "payment did not clear". None of which were disclosed when i joined the club. Very misleading! To cancel membership you have two option- go in person or mail a letter. Both are inconvenient and that is the point, to keep you from cancelling. They just deduct money whenever they want and respond with "its in the contract".
