Delicious food and strong coffee
Lovely place with a good selection of freshly made food and friendly, welcoming staff. Highly recommend it!
I say this as a life-long customer of Crumbs (I've been coming here for 37 years), I recommend Crumbs as a good vegetarian option in Cardiff - but it is not what it was. Baked potatoes are now microwaved not from the oven. This is not good. The salad bowl has a new(ish) teryake rice (it used to be a vinergarette) which now over powers the salad. I would say generally Crumbs is just missing it's mojo a little. Still good, but no longer great.
I remember using this restaurant many years ago, when you could get an excellent salad lunch, served in wooden bowls. Sadly, recent experience tells that it’s really gone downhill. My wife and I went there looking for lunch. Choices of salad-type lunches were sparse and unappealing, so - for want of anything better - we both settled for cheese & potato pie, each with a bottled soft drink. Lovely cafe in the middle of an arcade. Delicious veggie breakfast, drinks and catered for a mix of appetites between us. Great service too.
