There is nothing special about this place other than it being by the ocean and having a nicer layout than your average psychiatric institute. As far as quality care goes? Forget it, it's no different than your run of the mill institution, your loved one will be drugged out of their mind and slurring their words. My daughter was a patient at Crownview. Their team and approach to patients really is first rate. They helped her with anxiety and taught her coping skills. Their staff was very diligent on medication and med management and responsive to both my daughter’s questions and mine. I was most impressed with their out- patient program. They have a discharge coordinator that helps patients think about their plan after leaving Crownview. When facing a difficult period in life, it's nice to feel you have someone on your side. There are few things more difficult than seeing a loved one struggle, and I recently needed to engage Crownviews' services to help some family through a difficult time. Crownview was a great experience. It gave me the time and resources to get my life together and hold myself accountable for my mistakes. I’m happy to say that after about 8 months I no longer feel the need to use drugs or alcohol and am looking forward to life with a positive attitude thanks to the program.
