This was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a stylist. I booked Crowned by Kay one month in advance for my birthday, paid my $30 deposit immediately, and chose a 10 AM appointment because I was hosting my party later that night. DO NOT BUY THE BUNDLES , she told me the hair was good quality and would last two months.the hair is advertised as raw and quality hair bundles. However, by the next morning after she installed, the hair became bushy, frizzy, and disheveled. I attempted to curl and style it, but it would not hold. I had a wedding to attend on May 10th, and ended up spending an additional $130 at a Dominican salon for a blowout and silk press. Despite all the positive reviews, my experience was disappointing as a new client. She canceled on me an hour before our appointment due to inclement weather. I feel the communication could have been much better, especially since this was Valentine's Day weekend. I believe I should have been informed of any possible changes well in advance. As a hairstylist myself sometimes I just want to be to pampered but it’s hard to find stylist that are professional and someone who I can TRUST with my hair and Kierra is my girl hands down ! She never disappoints ❤️
