I thought a brand new roof had a warranty. Apparently not. My home is three years old and they told me their warranty was for one year on labor. Roof leaked during rain from hurricane Helene. I'd previously noticed what I thought was condensation from the AC in a ceiling vent, but only during torrential rain did I realize it was a faulty roof when the water was pouring in.
