Truly a gem! Crown Bistro is by far one of the best breakfast places not only on the Island but in San Diego. They have daily specials as well as the classics. Great husband and wife team. He's in the kitchen...(fancy that) and she is one of the waitresses. SERVICE IS IMPECCABLE AND FOOD IS FANTASTIC.
Crown Bistro is good get there early, not a lot of seats and usually they only have 2 waiters, but they are awesome as is the food. Seriously, I usually get two entrees for breakfast/brunch (the regular eggs benedict and either a waffle or the all american equivalent -- I am not a big guy, I just like their food enough to starve myself the day before and then eat nothing else the rest of the day). prices are reasonable too.
Crown Bistro My family LOVES to get breakfast at the Crown Bistro! The restaurant is a charming little place attached to a hotel. The service is excellent and the food is out to your table extremely fast. The specials are always very unique and delicious! The waffles are amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful!
Sweet, Sweet Breakfast At The Crown City Bistro Lemon poppy seed pancakes with a zesty lemon-orange sauce and whipped cream. Sauteed peach French toast. Bananas Foster waffle with rum and vanilla ice cream. If you love pancakes, French toast and waffles, this is the place for breakfast. If you have a sweet tooth as I do, (and more dimples than a Palm Beach ballot to prove it) this is the place.
