My daughter attends Jackie Carden Elementary. Her teacher, Mrs. Coleman, is amazing. My daughter is very bright and Mrs. Coleman has pushed her to excel. She also was having a bullying issue in the middle part of the year. Mrs. Coleman stepped in and resolved the issue very quickly. The school in general is good, but her teacher is truly an amazing woman. We aré trying to relocate to the Crowley, for the purchase of our new home. After reading the readings on the school district not so sure. Is the school district really bad?? Please advice!!
From personal experience , Head Coach Lacey, coach Glover and coach Banks .Has truly been a coach and mentor to my daughter , academic wise as well as pushing her to her, because of these ladies and their encouragement she is really pushing to be the best. She has encourage me greatly. Olympics here she come. Thank you so much for taking her out of her shell!!
Unfortunately it's may or may not be a race issue at HF STEVENS we have issues with the way the administration handles issues there too but the kids seem to get along just fine. But when there is bullying the administration is laxed in how they handle it. I even filed a grievances with the department of education and they got some training for the staff but it's not working I think they need continued training in the area of conflict resolution and keeping the students engaged during the learning process. Horrible school district, my nephew coninues to be bullied and assaulted in this school because is a white minority. He was jumped by 5 kids in his class today and is now in the hospital with a concussion. He has a shoe print on his face 2 hours after it happened.
It is pretty sad when a school does nothing to stopthe fighting at their school and all the fights are started by blacks kids. At,hf stevens teachers broke up a fight after school and hispanic girl was bleeding and face swollen and they just sent kids home. The fight is on youtube. My daughter has already been assualted twice n a week by a black kid. Nothing was done about it.
