Was a client for 18 years. Noticed a steady decline in the quality of my therapists treatment post covid. This past spring I experienced one of the most traumatic experiences of my adult life. When venting my frustrations about my abuser to my therapist, he gas lit me. Then proceeded to threaten call the police on me for "making threats" without inquiring as to whether I was actually being threating. I have been out of Crossroads for over two years and am now fully recovered. However, the repercussions of the care I received there have continued to weigh on me throughout my journey. The staff here is more like a clique than a treatment team, and there is a dangerous culture of enabling one another to give suboptimal care. Crossroads has meant so much to me and my recovery from mental illness. I started there a few years ago in the day treatment group program which lasted about three months, then started working one on one with an amazing therapist after that. I’m not even sure I would be around to leave a good review if it weren’t for the staff and other patients in group, leaving this review truly feels like the least I can do to give thanks to these people. Crossroads has helped me so unbelievably much, anyone who knows me knows I live and breathe therapy. I hated therapy until I found my therapist and how helpful it can really be. I started in the Day Treatment and was there for many months, it was super helpful to have daily support when I was at my lowest.
