CrossFit the Rock is one of the best CrossFit places on Long Island. And they are a great spot for CrossFit especially for travelers. Firstly, they are a clean facility and the instructors and athletes / members of this gym are incredibly kind. I took my class with Janice and she was amazing, mind you it was my first time doing CrossFit in over 6 months. Very warm and welcoming. Coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging - they meet you where you are. There is a place for everyone here, and if you are willing to put in the work, they will help you find the best version of you.
Dropped in from Virginia Beach for a few days over the holidays. Tom and Carlo were extremely accommodating, and have a ton of classes throughout the day to choose from. I travel quite a bit for work, and have dropped in to a lot of CrossFit gyms. That said, I really enjoyed their style of warming up and programming. Plenty of space and great group of folks.
