Wife and I started two weeks ago. I am 50+ and overweight. They have scaled everything to manageable levels. I always feel welcome. The instructors focus on technical perfection before loading up the plates for the weight lifting. I crave meat, fruit, vegetables and water all day long. I am rediscovering all the muscles in my body. Any anxiety I had has left my body. My friends are completely annoyed that all I do is talk about Crossfit. I am a beginner here, but highly energized by the camaraderie in this CrossFit community- grateful for team mates that are helpful and kind. Coaches are a blessing - spending A LOT of time and dedicated effort on teaching correct form and being very encouraging and supportive. Really happy I stumbled in here, who knows, in time, I might even have a chance at looking the part for a sport that I thought wasn’t remotely possible for me to do.
