I attended this CrossFit gym just shy of a year and as much as I wanted to continue coming here and growing in my fitness journey, I didn’t feel like I “fit in”. First off the community here is mainly Spanish or Brazilian culture which is totally fine but I personally felt excluded and wasn’t learning much from the coaches to excel in my form or technique. Incredibly welcoming management, couching and workout partners 😁 exercising it’s what brought me here, but the community is what made me stay. Everyone is genuinely helpful and supportive. I have CrossFit gyms closer to my home, but I drive an hour every day just so I can be part of this one😁
It is unfortunate to see how much this gym has changed under the current management. What was once a welcoming community with great potential has become an environment filled with favoritism, unprofessional behavior, and unnecessary drama. While there are a few coaches here who genuinely care about their athletes and embody what coaching should be, the leadership and several of the main coaches have lost sight of what it means to be professional.
