Stayed 23rd July 2025 in our van beside this lovely old hotel. The new owners were very nice & accommodating. Meals were good basic pub meals. The cafe besides the pub is open early for breakfast! Great - cheap with a good choice. Loved the old car out the front! Good stop over for the night one half hour from Brisbane
Just had a great roast pork and veges dinner at this pub. Yummy! Lovely hosts. Good, grassed, camping area beside the pub. Would call again when up this way. If you use the free camping... Have some drinks, or a meal. It would be appreciated.
A group of us were planning on doing a bike ride from Helidon and were looking for accommodation and meals. I contacted the hotel and this was their response!! " Hi Richard thank you for your enquiry but unfortunately no we do not have accommodation at the hotel nor are there any facilities for campers, and meals are not every night." To clarify - there is camping beside the hotel. Plenty of reviews.
Im sorry. I know they have only recently taken over but..... We ate in the beer garden which was just barely ok. Everything was clean but the whole place needs a huge update. Staff friendly but service was slow. We had pizza which took a long time to come, were undercooked and the topping on three different varieties was mostly cheep shredded ham.
