Sesamo has a really nice ambiance. It was a little cold inside, so we ended up sitting outside, which was still a pleasant setup. We did the prix fixe menu. The Caesar salad was a bit too salty for me, but the vodka pasta with the added chicken parm was delicious and ended up being the perfect portion. The matcha tiramisu looked gorgeous, although the flavor was closer to a traditional tiramisu than I expected. Overall, a really nice meal.
This place is such a hidden gem. The absolute best food which so innovative, flavorful and fresh. The owner is often greeting customers and she is so friendly. The drinks are STRONG and delicious. All of the staff is so wonderful and kind. Our absolute favorite place! Go there for a pre-show dinner, birthday celebration with friends or a date.
One of the best in Hell’s Kitchen and all NYC! Amazing pasta and ambience, and the waiters/managers are very friendly.
For the price point, I am not sure Sesamo is doing their part to keep up with standard maintenance of the space. My hubby and I take our kiddos to Sesamo, but the couch at the corner table is so uncomfortable! Its so old! The kiddos cant keep still because its lumpy and ripped and uncomfortable. Neither can Hubby! Hubby and the littles want to be comfortable!
