Lizabeth is amazing Very helpful. Communicating well via text Cabin was clean and in order. Plenty of shade in the area grass was mowed nice . The proximity of the river was perfect .we enjoyed the pool which was clean and maintained. We will be booking again soon .

My hobby is astronomy, and I regularly camp on the Rio Frio because it had been a Dark Skies gem. Criders seems to be on a crusade FOR light pollution. They blast the river with three powerful LED flood lights and keep them running all night. When the neighbors politely asked that they turn the lights down after midnight, Criders told them to pound sand. These are not good people... unkind to their neighbors, selfish, and light pollution fans. Don't patronize Criders and maybe it will be lights-out for them.

Great River Access for those renting cabins only! (No day use access)There are 3 spots to get in (see my photo captions), so you can rent a tube at the office and take a little float. Both shallow and deeper areas to swim. The website could be a little bit more informative. We stayed in the Buffalo Creek Cabin July 2025 and loved it. My only complaint is that it was a little dusty and we found a good bit of dog hair on the floors and furniture (not sure why they charge extra for pets if they don’t follow up with cleaning ext... read more
