I gotta say best soul food I have had in NC so far. I did a walk in. I was greeted and my order was taken. There was quite a wait but it was worth it. I’m sure that will get better in time.I had Chicken Semaj with cabbage which was tender and yams candied well. The wings were large and seasoned well. The portions were fair as well. Honest review from a Concord resident: This was our first visit. We placed our order at 2:06 p.m. and did not receive our food until 2:54 p.m. A 48-minute wait for only two plates. By the time our food arrived, the long wait had taken away much of our excitement and appetite. Honestly, we could have gone to Golden Corral, sat down, and eaten in that amount of time. The inside was bare bones, clearly a take out only spot. The food looks nice, but tasted okay, not bad but definitely not worth over $15 a plate. The lady who gave me my food was great so brownie points for her. I hope they figure out something to change my opinion on the food because I want them to thrive but as it is now, I can only recommend if they are offering a 30% or more discount and even then I will say to temper your expectations
