The BEST GYRO & Halal Food in Sacramento – I went to Crest Cafe the other day for lunch for the first time. Even though the restaurant seemed a bit overcrowded with customers, but it was worth of waiting in the line to get my lunch and the food was very good. I have walked pasted the restaurant every day for the past year and finally gave it a chance. The Garlic Chicken was awesome, the chicken was juicy and the rice was perfectly cooked. Sunlight streams through the wide glass windows during lunchtime as state workers rush in to grab a quick bite. At night, the pulsating lights of the Crest Theatre glow faintly; on weekends, a slim belly dancer shimmies between tables. The Food Some of the basics are fatally flawed: Baba ghanouj clumps with sweet, rather than sm... read more
