Place is awesome M-Th but on weekends it is over populated. Unless you get there at 6am expect to hike about .5 miles to the entry of the park then another .5 from the gate to water at a minimum. They also poo poo dropoffs so it will not just be you and the coolers but your kids walking too.
The most cristaline waters in wonderful esenary of red rocks formation. Clean and beautiful.
