I used the Cremation Society of Illinois a few weeks ago when my husband died after a long battle with cancer. Everyone I had contact with was professional and courteous. Eric at the office was wonderful at helping me select an urn, handle paperwork, and secure death certificates. The fellow Ben, who came to the house to collect my husband, treated him with such care, draped a flag over him, and played taps, while my family stood by. It was beautiful and meaningful. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.
My husband died a month ago after a brief illness that left me & his daughters in shock. We had long ago decided that we wanted to be cremated & thought about stopping at the Cremation Society of Illinois in Mt Prospect for information. Even though our family had prepared The cremation process several years before it was necessary, when my husband died it was still very difficult for us. The first person I met was Eric and he was very supportive of our grief, and explained in great detail what we were to expect.
