My mother passed on November 20.On December 12 after several calls to Jefferson County Health Department they informed me that the death certificate was filed in Bibb County!!! Cremation Services was supposed to deliver to me one original copy of the death certificate. I heard nothing after they deposited my payment. For three weeks! I was mistakenly told by Jefferson County that I would have to travel to Bibb County if I needed one today or call the state and get it mailed. I called Cremation Services quite irate.
