I ended up leaving this dentist. There are several reasons, including once when the hygienist had their dog in the cleaning room, while I was getting a cleaning done. I also went through a year long ordeal trying to get a new mouth guard (mine was literally broken). The ordeal included several rounds of appoints, including one where I had to go off island for a special scan. After it all, the dentist told me that I probably have sleep apnea ??? (Confirmed with my GP, I definitely do not) so wouldn't need a new guard. Wild.
I just had two fillings done by Dr. McCue. He gave me the option to have freezing or not. I've never been given an option before. He kindly and patiently tested to see if it might be painful with the agreement that at any moment I could signal I needed the freezing. It wasn't painful. He has such a calm presence and did a thorough job. I felt completely at ease with him.
