I received a letter of pre-qualification so I called. After they ran my credit I started getting inundated with emails from Russians that were eager to assist me in getting a loan. Besides potential scammers I was only offered debt consolidation on inaccurate accounts still on my credit. They tried to convince me that paying them off even though they are not owed (and will be removed soon, again) was the only way to keep them off of my credit report permanently.
