Shivers Sue Dvm - Creature Comforts is Compassionate Dr Shivers is probably the most compassionate vet I've had the pleasure to know. She is helping me neuter the neighborhood strays. She is not only helpful, but humane and hilarious! She puts the cats at ease and helps us all feel comfortable. I cannot praise her enough. Wonderful vet and human. I recommend this practice to everyone and find their hours and location ideal.
Creature Comforts has been a part of our family for many years. They were amazing when we needed to make some very tough decisions for our dog. Now they care for our kitty. The staff and doctors are informative and caring. I highly recommend them for emergencies and well care.
Stay away, they just want your money. I had the worst experience here with Dr. Amy Olson after picking up my new cat from a shelter. My cat had a bladder infection, and Creature Comforts gave her a shot which fixed it. But then Dr. Olson asked me to buy not one but TWO types of painkillers. This cat is still getting familiar with me and is very stressed with all of the changes. I asked her how I was supposed to administer the painkillers to a new cat that wouldn't let me near it, and she just said "I have faith in you." Then... read more

Being new to Ankeny, I feel so blessed to have found this . The staff is great- my pug is in bad shape and they have been sensitive and tolerant to our needs,

I'm sorry all but not that these ppl dont care but they cannot be trusted. They wouldn't take care of my dog until they had money in hand even though they were told that we were on our way with the money for our dogs operation. After the operation that I feel was very highly priced anyways wound up that we had overpaid for services rendered and they owed us money back we are now fighting with them to get our money back. So my suggestion is if you have time shop around for better customer service and better prices.
