Save your money and go somewhere with staff that cares and doesn’t ignore your calls. I wanted to see about touring the place and they ignored all my phone calls. Listen to these bad reviews. This place is a 2.5 star rating for a reason.

“If I were to encapsulate my experience with this apartment complex, it would resemble a horror story. I have endured a total of four months without air conditioning since moving in. While the exterior presents an impression of elegance, the reality within is quite different, as various maintenance issues plague the building, including drainage problems. Honestly, I wouldn't give this place even 1 star. Save your money and take it elsewhere. They've changed their staff, however, they are just as negligent as the former staff. I've had multiple things break which I've put in work orders for, and no response from staff whatsoever. The only response I've gotten is them entering my apartment without any notice at all. I have attempted to resolve this issue via numerous emails and phone calls with the property manager , staff and Donaldson Group Management Company. Crawford House Apts in Portsmouth, VA owes me a deposit refund. I was scheduled to move in July 22nd but was notified July 12th that my company would be relocating me out of state for work. I immediately communicated to Chantel via phone and follow up email that day. I never signed a lease so no ties there. Nonresponsive office staff. They don't even respond to voicemails. Also, for Portsmouth, there is already a bad enough hard water problem with Portsmouth having one of the most chemically filled water systems, BUT there is something seriously wrong with the water in this building. If you go into the kitchen downstairs in the "common area" near the gym, or even in the main bathrooms when you first walk into the building and run the faucets, you will get a strong, bad "boiled eggs" smell and it is PUTRID.
