A greedy company that will nickel and dime their customers, and kick them when they’re down.
Shut our power off at our camping property with no call or explanation after we did a transfer (bought the property). When calling to find out why, no one would help and just kept saying we have no contract and need to call Monday (it was Friday). No communication on if there was ever an issue so we were under the impression everything was good to go with our account per the contract we have. Until we show up to our property and have no power! Horrible customer service!
Beware of unethical billing practices. Will charge extra and disconnect without sending seperate notice. Will then charge astronimical amount of deposit on top of reconnect fees. Pay on time, limit your use of electricity, don't give them any money you don't have to. Sad example of a monopoly posing as a community cooperative. Linemen are phenomenal and will tell you they have nothing to do with the unethical parts.
Please use extreme caution of this is your electric company. Make sure you are on time and never ever late. They will not communicate with you, even if activity on your account is unusual. They will shut you off without a seperate notice and no contact by phone or email. The only thing sent by mail and email is the regularly recieved invoice. They showed me the disconnect notice was stamped on the top left corner of my bill and they believe that's enough. I didn't even see it. I was injured and out of work from Christmas Eve... read more
