I can't say enough about Ryan and Craters and Freighters in Hillsboro (Portland). They were amazing to work with. They picked up my antique TV and packed it for a 2,900 mile trip across the country. I was very nervous about this type of shipment. He was confident and he was right. Not a scratch on it. Plus he was able to insure the item and the shipment. Trust Ryan to get it there on time and in excellent condition.

Hired Craters and Freighters to crate and ship electronic equipment from Portland to Los Angeles. Purchased their insurance, which we were told covers 100% of damages. Our turntable arrived with a damaged cartridge—a delicate but critical component that was clearly mishandled during transport. When we filed a claim, we were told there's a 12-day window buried in the freight bill that was never communicated to us at the time of service. No one mentioned it verbally, in writing, or at delivery. They refused to submit the claim... read more

This place was recommended to me by an auction house in portland, and I was told that it was a little bit more expensive than ups, but the trade-off between the incompetency of The UPS Store and my absolute certainty that my objects will be packed correctly with Craters and Freighters meant that the price difference was irrelevant (and honestly, they're extremely competitive with every other shipper), but with Craters and Freighters I know that my artwork will arrive in perfect condition.
