WARNING!!!! Be very cautious shopping and dining in Knox Village. They have a TOWING SCAM going in the area. A spotter sits in his car in the area and watches for naive shoppers who park in parking areas that are not clearly marked. They tow a number of vehicles down about 2 or 3 blocks and then take them all to City Vehicle Storage. I parked across from Chuy's restaurant and shopped in the area, but did not go inside Chuy's . HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – Crate and Barrel at the Grove in Los Angeles needs to SERIOUSLY re-evaluate their customer service and sales people. We were drawn in by the upholstery sale and spoke with Samuel. We put in an order for a sectional and 6 upholstered dining chairs. you win this time, crate and barrel – I don’t think I will ever find a store that I can spend hours upon end in like Crate and Barrel. When I was nine, I convinced my mom to buy overpriced popcorn bowls that were literally just bowls that said “popcorn” on them and were illustrated with little cloud like wisps of popcorn. Great store! – Crate & Barrel is a great store I like to go to when I am shopping for items for my house. They have a large selection of home decor products and accessories (candles, candleholders, lamps, rugs, office accessories, vases...), kitchen items and cool gadgets (bowls, knives, cutting boards, platters, bbq essentials...), storage boxes, bed & bath accessories... you name it you find it! Nice housewares – We just moved into a new place and had to pick up some dishes and silverware. Crate & barrel had it all right there and it wasn't expensive. Everything that I got was nice. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone who is looking for kitchen and house supplies. I browsed through the furniture while I was there since that's the next project. I didn't buy anything. Seemed like quality stuff, but priced a little higher that I thought. We might go back after a little shopping.
Customer service – I really think there is a lot to be said for these girls who have to run around this store, and cope with needy requests. They are polite, and helpful.
It's pretty hard for me to leave a home store without buying anything. I admit it, I can be a pretty bad shopaholic. As a matter of fact, before logging on to CitySearch, I was cruising the Neiman Marcus website. That's how bad I am. Anyway, I didn't find anything at this store. Still overpriced and yet not much to offer. Parking was especially lousy too, but what's new at this place?
Great for kitchen stuff – The great thing about this place is that you can pick and choose your plates, glasses, bowls and accessories. Not only that, but if you break a few plates or glasses, then you can always go back and buy a replacement and not have to worry about buying an entire set or another set and having mis matched plates and glasses.
