We had a new meter put in. I asked if it was a smart meter I was told no. I said I had heard they weren't safe. He said ah these just send a message to the comapny and record your usage so we don't have to come out and read them. Well I am here to tell you. They are not safe. They need more testing and putting milliuons of lives at risk from radiation! It has the equivalent to wire tapping and being intercepted by radio transmissions. It breaks privacy and is not legal.
