Dr. Van Dien is one of the most caring, intelligent, capable, and knowledgeable doctors that I have met. When he comes into the examination room, I can be assured he has read my chart and will discuss any changes with me. He will then come up with a plan of action and execute the plan. I am very grateful for my care.

First a nice human being then an excellent doctor. Most pain management doctors are board certified specialists and know their stuff well, but Dr Van Dien is beyond that. Unlike most other physicians - not just in pain management - he listens to patients and actually pays attention, does proper and thorough examination, takes time to explain findings including test results in easy to understand language, and then gives enough time to answer any questions patient might have.
