I went to Parkland Hospital on Thursday 3/13/25 I never even knew I had a doctor the nurse practitioner kept leaving then coming back so I gathered conversing with Dr Dix I had a fever bronchitis asthma and felt really off I have had these for ever but never a temp they did a Covid & Flu test…I had a very bad sore throat which I never get and they did not check it ! Nor do an EKG I am almost 68..no blood work or fluids even though I seemed dehydrated..the told was a virus and sent home ..next day felt worse went back by ambu... read more
It's hard to make a review for a " Dr" that i never saw or talked to. There was no discussion, no observation, no exam. In fact, if you expect to actually see a doctor or a nurse go somewhere else than Parkland. I had more contact with registration, housekeeping, and an EMT, then I did with any medical staff. The doctor had no idea about my history, what I allergic to, or how I had been told to go to the ER by another ER doctor, but it was virtual. Dr Dix was very professional. He took the time to talk to me about my concerns. He was quite knowledgeable and caring.
I was seen by Dr. Dix, if that’s what you want to call him. I was working research and we had been exposed to several toxic fumes including carbon monoxide. Not only did he refuse to examine me, he stated “well you’re alive and talking, you’ll be fine”. When I informed him again my employers wanted me checked out he rolled his eyes and stuck me in a room. That was the last I saw of him. He never once asked me my medical history or took the time to examine me. He couldn’t even pick up a stethoscope to listen to my lungs. Inst... read more
