By far the grossest beach we’ve ever been to. We love the fishing here, however the beach is trashy. Multiple beer bottle caps, food trash and poop floating near the shoreline. And for $13 we expected more and stay less than 30 minutes.

Very disappointing experience. Despite appearing to be a public beach, visitors are required to pay an entrance fee to access the area and seprate $3 to touch the water, and there was no clear signage that we saw indicating this before entering. The older woman at the registration desk was rude, unprofessional, and spoke to us disrespectfully. I remember this beach in a different location. Followed the maps directions and found an equally great beach 20+ years later. Have to pay per person now, as opposed to per car years ago and I think even free before that. ? We did not like the smell of marijuana nor the dogs roaming. The staff tried to rid the beach of a dog trapped in a car on an extreme heat advisory day, that dog and owner left after a 20 min ordeal. Peaceful, clean, nice views. Green murky water typical of SI. Nice bathroom/shower/changing room. Picnic tables. $3 per person, can't beat it!

Went swimming on Tuesday at the beach. By Sunday night I'm in the er with a weird rash that turns out to be bacteria and fluid retention in my legs, ankles and calves requiring antibiotics and steroids. Would not recommend swimming here.
