Bad Business Practices After reading some of the other reviews, I'm seeing a pattern with CPI Security and I'm curious if any attorneys (or others) have any comments to the following. I signed up for service with CPI and did not realize that I was signing up for 5 years!! After a year, I was transferred with my job out of state. CPI does not provide service in that state, so I couldn't transfer my service. No show took an appointment with the local salesman and they did not show. The CPI called me later to schedule the appointment again.
Know your Contract with CPI Security In my experience, all alarm companies are shady and will stop at nothing to make money. I have had many problems with CPI Security but would still choose them over other alarm companies in Charlotte. Just please read your contract very carefully and know what you are getting into. Here are my comments on CPI.
BEWARE OF LENGTH OF CONTRACT ....I guess the security is fine......BUT....before you sign w/ them.....REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW the length of contract!!!! If you move within 5 years......you are LIABLE for the remainder of the money on the contract!!!!!! Even if you move out of state where CPI does not have service........you are liable.
Salesman error Just had a near-terrible experience with CPI before we even had the service installed.
System Always Reliable CPI did an excellent job of installing our system, and have come out a handfull of times for troubleshooting and maintenance. We've been consistently pleased with the customer service we've received, and recommend them to all our friends.
