Had to replace the alternator today, but couldn't schedule an appointment. Had to take my chances at finding a mechanic. After buying the alternator at AutoZone, the first place I stopped could not get me in today even though they are open later than most shops. So the next one on my way home was Coyne's on Blackhawk in South Beloit. It was just before 5pm, and they were pulling the next vehicle into the bay as I pulled up.
