I initially went into Cox with intense abdominal pain and severe vomiting and while they took my blood and did a urine test they did not discuss the results with me. They told me as I was signing ama after waiting ~5 hours that they would be available in my patient portal however they did not provide me with access to create an account and view my patient portal. Worst experience ever in an emergency room. We were there for 7 hours. Went in saying sore throat and they did not test for strep but did test for Covid. 5 hours later they asked if they could test for Strep since her throat was hurting, well that should have been done first (does not take a doctor to figure that out) then when I said she was in pain Dr. Michael White said to me she must not be in too much pain since she was asleep when I walked in. Horrible experience every time ive had to go here. They treat everyone with such disrespect and definitely DO NOT care if you are suffering or in excruciating pain or throwing up or having blood in your stool or urine. They don't care even if you are actually dying, they are not equipped to even handle basic medical needs. The ambulances around here even know how horrible they are, which is why they go an hour out of their way to take you to Springfield hospital instead.
