Cowtown Range is a Sonoran Desert Gem! I can't believe I have lived in the Valley of the Sun as a shooter for over 25 years and have only known about Cowtown for about 8 months. I am a new member and just had my first 2 sessions this past weekend. It couldn't be easier to book your time with the online system and everyone at Cowtown is so friendly. Took the Intro to Comp class with Kyle. Great instructor, fun, interesting, and very informative. Covered all the basic ideology that could occur during competition, turning draw from facing up range, movement, shooting behind cover, etc. Since other people bailed on the class, I was allowed to shoot both my handgun and pistol and pretty much use up all my ammo. Cowtown is the best of both worlds! The peace and simplicity of shooting in a natural, outdoors environment, on pretty much your own terms as long as you have basic firearms safety practices, WITHOUT the precariousness of finding a literal spot in the desert or of irresponsible guests and/or constant ceasefires like we have at the public/state-run sites. Excellent class with Kyle today! Really enjoyed my time. I learned a lot (great pointers) I will definitely be taking more classes with Kyle.
