I took my dachshund here twice and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. During the first visit, the vet was quite rude and dismissive. I explained that my dog was showing clear signs of back issues, specifically IVDD, but she insisted it could be poisoning instead. Despite my concerns, she pushed for a blood test, even though my dog hadn’t been in any environment where poisoning wasn’t possible. Ivy and I dropped in (no appointment, not a registered customer, yet) today after she started limping on our walk. Ivy had taken part of the pad off a back paw. The very kind vet nurse had a look, told me how to treat the injury, and after another kind nurse administered some liver treats, we headed back to our holiday home nearby. Such a great caring group. I can't thank them enough for putting my mind to rest; she is our Princess after all!
Staff was great at the front office but vet was very pushy and not understanding what I was doing. I only needed a bit of help not a consultation.
Cannot fault. Absolutely amazing ! Picked up my dog after an operation. My other hurt himself in the car and they immediately saw him and have had the best ongoing care for my babies. Just simply wonderful and im a very picky person when it comes to my pets care and these guys sure have impressed. I happily drive the 2 hours for the care they give Thank you team From Bella & Spyro
Highly recommend Cowes Vet Surgery. Extremely professional and polite staff. My GSD does NOT like going to the vet, or being around other dogs, and instead of the staff being judgemental or difficult, they offered a solution that worked extremely well (the chill out method) or something of that nature. Also, with my boy not liking being around other dogs, they were extremely accomodating with that as well (ie. coming out to the car park, or letting us know when to come in when there were no other dogs inside).
