I went to this restaurant for the first time for family takeout & was disappointed. The chicken tasted good until I tasted the skin at the top of the drumstick & I noticed it was a bit salty. Next, I tasted the okra & was surprised to find that it had been salted. After eating this, I wasn't entirely surprised that the black eyed peas basically were bland & you guessed it- salty. What is this?! A chicken sandwich for ants?! I ordered a chicken sandwich, side of the twice (or three, or four) baked potatoes, mac n cheese, corn fritters and fried okra. The chicken sandwich is subpar at best. It was soooo tiny. Smaller than my side of potatoes. The potatoes were crispy, even though they were supposed to resemble mashed potatoes. The corn fritters and okra weren't bad! They get three stars because of the corn fritters.
Bad cobbler tasted like burnt sweet potatoes!
