Best contractor I’ve ever worked with! The work was done quickly, on budget, and looks beautiful. This was a very large deck on the second floor of my home. The Contractor is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. Everything was done with permits and up to code and was Reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Would use Cowan Custom finishing again if I ever needed this kind of work in the future.
If quality work, good communication and sticking to a schedule are important to you then give these folks a shot at your project. Photos are of a fence we needed off of our existing front deck so our dogs would have an area. zj
Edit: By Cowan's response it's clear they still don't acknowledge the state building code violations not related to historic code. Bottom line, they took my money and left a poorly constructed porch with code violations on every aspect that I was forced to have rebuilt. When I decided to have someone else do the rebuild, they cut off communication. You can do a license search at the CCB website to see the complaints on their record. We’re very pleased with the deck expansion project that Cowan Custom Decks just completed. They replaced decaying supports, installed new uprights, constructed a privacy screen, and added composite decking to give us a lovely area for our new hot tub. I highly recommend Amber and Linnae for outdoor construction projects because of their quality workmanship and clear communications.
