These cabins offer convenience of microwaveable food (heating water) as well as privacy of stone walls. Easy to sleep early or sleep in! The visit in late March was perfect weather for a visit. We enjoyed the cold nights chilly evenings while also the heat of the trails during the day. The portable heater was more than sufficient and the AC wasn’t needed too much as the stone stays chilly. Bring slippers(!) and flip flops for shower. Mice are unavoidable 😬 and not shy!

Such a cool old place. If you don't like rustic camping/rooms you probably won't like this place. But such a cool historical place to stay.

Not for the faint of heart. Stone and mortar structures at the bittom of a canyon = a place for bugs, critters etc to hide. Reserved 2 nights but could not stay. Bring swatters, pest control spray etc.

Nice, rustic and has AC. Bring a chair. The inside chairs have no padding. Has water outside. Showers baths are quick drive. The bad; the AC unit cant keep it cool in 97f temps of August so keep that in mind.

Minimal bugs. CONS: Inside is not comfortable: bunk beds very confining, top bunk doesn't have railing and is only 18" from ceiling. Two chairs and a small table, nowhere to relax and hang inside. Dark and kind of dungeony. Three small windows, only two opened; only one with a screen. No shade outside. The worst: the cement patio... read more
