Worst electric company out there do not buy or rent a house that is powered by Covington electric you will be scammed very bad. My latest issue is I made a payment 9-1-2026 and on 9-9-2026 they cut my power off even after payment. After talking on the phone and she didn’t even help figure it out she charged me a reconnect fee on-top of she also added a $300 and something deposit on my account right when I was on the phone with her very shady. Charges you a fee, a fee fee, a fee fi fo fum fee, an will tell you to unplug your freezer if you want a cheaper power bill. Charges the highest rates out of any company in the state, and the most fees. Rates double during certain hours of the day. First power bill with all fees and add ons they couldn’t explain or wouldn’t remove was $400 and we were gone half the month traveling and moving the rest of our stuff across country.
