Nice newer hotel. Staff was all great.
I had a terrible experience at this hotel due to the ignorance of the employees. I traveled with a service dog, and they charged me a $150 cleaning fee without any prior notice. When I called to inquire about the charge, I was told that even if the dog hadn't caused any mess, they still had to charge extra for cleaning. I contacted corporate about the situation, and they filed a claim against the hotel and refunded the fee. Additionally, the housekeeping manager was rude and disrespectful. First off, I exclusively stay at Marriott and normally when visiting New Orleans, I stay near the quarter. This time however I decided on a quieter location outside the city. On the first day I noticed small cockroaches in the room. I alerted the front desk and was told they would take care of it. The next morning after waking up, I again noticed cockroaches in the room. I attempted to contact Marriott customer service and have not had any replies or correspondence since then.
