Really confused on the rating of this hotel. I've stayed in dozens of courtyards and this is up there with the most run down. Started by being shamed at the front desk for not booking direct through Marriott. Then being told that there is a $10 charge for parking....there is nothing else around, pure cash grab, didn't even ask for a plate number, so just say no and avoid the charge. Overall the hotel was ok, but the bistro experience was terrible. On the first morning, I called several times to ask about the ordering process but no one answered, so I went in person. The woman taking orders was extremely rude and condescending. When I showed the menu provided by the front desk, she yelled, “Don’t show me that, just order what you want.” When I asked if a sandwich or burrito could be made without meat, she loudly replied, “Everything has meat, I can give you eggs,” in a very demeaning tone. We recently used Courtyard by Marriot in Red Bank for our wedding block and couldn’t have been happier with the rooms, staff and service. Between the front desk to the house keeping everyone was super accommodating and friendly. Jerilynne the event manager was outstanding to my wife and I and extremely patient with us.
