Overall great experience. We had a suite which was a great size for our family of 5. Conveniently located about 5-10 minutes from Hershey Park, Zoo America and a variety of restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only criticisms were an issue with our thermostat in the room which prevented us from adjusting the temperature — the staff was able to adjust remotely for us — and there was some mold in the shower that could be easily remediated.
I can not say enough good things about the experience my grandchildren and I had this past weekend at Courtyard Hershey Chocolate Avenue. Kudos to Elle and Brandon for their hospitality and the kindness shown to me. The accommodations were excellent, but it was Elle and Brandon who deserve the accolades.
It looks like every other Courtyard Marriott. There is nothing special about it. The problem is that they appear to be very understaffed. They have a lobby bar and restaurant, but only one person usually works there. That person serves drinks (and coffees in the mornings), makes food, and works the register. I stayed here with my family for 4 days and watched their employees on duty at the lobby bar struggle. Everything took much longer than it should. Many guests lost patience, gave up, and left.
